Marijuana Awareness Program

June 2025

Prior to the event, informational posters were spread on social media.

Engaging brochures highlighting the risks and myths surrounding marijuana use were distributed to students ahead of the event. These informative materials aim to educate and encourage healthier choices.

The brochure included a quiz, a breakdown of health risks, a myths section to dispel misconceptions, and brain image comparisons, all aimed at encouraging healthier choices.

The event consisted of 3 sessions. In the first session, students were educated about what marijuana is and how it works on the brain and body. They were also introduced to the logo design contest.

In the second session, the students learned about the impact of marijuana on developing brains and how it affects their physical and mental health.

In the third session, students learned how they can avoid marijuana, and myths about marijuana

In this section, Nathan Chen, vice-president of Healthy Living Club, discusses the endocannabinoid system and explores the differences between endocannabinoids and phytocannabinoids.

During this segment of the presentation, Eliana Chen, president of Healthy Living Club, introduced the students to the marijuana awareness program and outlined the topic for the session.
